Melbourne has witnessed a spate of violent incidents within a 48-hour period, including stabbings, home invasions, and shootings across multiple suburbs.
A teenager was stabbed during a brawl at a community event in Broadmeadows, followed by armed home invasions in Brighton and Clyde. In the latter case, two men attempted to break into a family home while armed with knives, terrifying the occupants.
Meanwhile, gunfire was reported at a tobacco store in Glenroy, continuing a wave of attacks linked to an ongoing trade feud.

The violent stretch followed recent assaults and anti-social behaviour on Melbourne’s public transport network, as well as a string of machete attacks and youth crime incidents across the city.
