Joe Biden’s 85-car motorcade to a meeting with Pope Francis has raised eyebrows with climate activists, days before the Glasgow climate change summit.
The President’s usual motorcade consists of about two dozen vehicles, and while the length of this one was likely extended due to Italy’s restrictions on the number of people allowed inside vehicles, the massive gas guzzling convoy was still not a good look in the eyes of climate activists.
The papal meeting took place ahead of a Climate Summit next week in Glasgow, where Biden is expected to announce a $500 billion spending package on environmental programmes.
