It’s been a horror weekend on our roads and waterways with a number of fatal accidents reported by police.
Late Friday night a person died in Wyndham, Southland when a vehicle they were driving rolled into a paddock just after 11pm. Police are asking for witnesses who may have seen a dark-coloured Mazda ute travelling on Wyndham Road at the time.
One man died in a water incident south of East Harbour Regional Park near Wainuiomata around 12.15pm on Saturday. Police are still investigating the circumstances of the fatality.
One person died after falling from the back of a ute on Te Awa Road in Manawatu around 6pm Saturday. Emergency services were called. The person was found in a critical condition but died at the scene.
Two people died in a car accident on Savill Road, Favona Auckland following an accident around 9.10pm last night.
Meanwhile police have released the name of a man who died when a grader rolled in Beaumont, Otago on Wednesday. He was 69 year old David Divers of Roxburgh.
It start to be very strange all these accident when the traffic is still quite low on the roads compare to the previous years
