BoJo says his bog was bugged after Bibi visit

Boris Johnson Unleased news

In a surprising revelation from his new memoir, former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson alleges that a bugging device was discovered in his private bathroom shortly after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu used the facility during a 2017 visit.

Johnson, who was the UK’s foreign secretary at the time, described the lavatory as located in a secret annex at the British Foreign Office. He hinted at the possibility of foul play, stating that after Netanyahu’s brief visit, a routine security sweep uncovered a listening device in the toilet.

“Thither Bibi repaired for a while, and it may or may not be a coincidence but I am told that later, when they were doing a regular sweep for bugs, they found a listening device in the thunderbox,” Johnson wrote.

Johnson stopped short of directly accusing the Israeli leader of espionage but left room for speculation by noting the timing of the discovery.

The episode has drawn comparisons to earlier Israeli intelligence activities, including the use of surveillance devices in Washington, D.C., reportedly targeting then-US President Donald Trump.

The explosive claim adds to a series of sensational excerpts from Johnson’s memoir, Unleashed, sparking intrigue and controversy about potential espionage involving foreign dignitaries.
