The character, initially mentioned in the 2022 book Queen’s Hope, has now been officially added to the Star Wars lore in the new book Star Wars: The Secrets of the Clone Troopers.
Depicted as a soldier with dreadlocks and armour painted in the colours of the transgender flag, Sister’s inclusion has been met with mockery and disdain from many longtime fans of the franchise.
Critics argue that this latest move further dilutes the essence of Star Wars, accusing Disney of forcing modern identity politics into a beloved sci-fi universe that was once known for its immersive storytelling and escapism.
