China condemns capture of Maduro

China has strongly criticised the United States over its military action in Venezuela and the capture of President Nicolás Maduro, accusing Washington of acting in a “hegemonic” and unlawful manner.

In a statement issued on Saturday local time, Beijing said it was “deeply shocked” by what it described as the blatant use of force against a sovereign nation, arguing that the operation violated international law and Venezuela’s national sovereignty while undermining stability across Latin America and the Caribbean.

The condemnation followed US President Donald Trump’s declaration that Washington would take control of Venezuela after American forces detained Maduro and his wife.

China urged the US to respect the United Nations Charter and demanded the immediate release of Maduro.

The intervention came shortly after a senior Chinese envoy visited Caracas, highlighting Beijing’s close strategic ties with the oil-rich country. In the wake of Maduro’s removal, Venezuela’s Supreme Court transferred presidential authority to Vice President Delcy Rodríguez.

  1. China and Russia, are the true world leaders, the US is an oafish thug resorting to criminality, when it doesn’t get its way.A detestable, deservedly fading presence, on the world stage.

    • Believe it or not I fully 100% agree with you. But I think that China has a self-interest agenda right now which happens to 100% align with Trump’s criminal kidnapping of Maduro and contempt for “the existing world order”. I think that China eagerly welcomes the prospect of cheaper Venezuelan oil.

My own viewpoint is anchored in the bible and in particular – in Daniel’s prophecies. I avoid christian “church” etc and avoid their hypocrisy but continue to believe that Satan can never take a geniune child of God unawares. So, I don’t do bullshit from any sources.
