Bhatia consortium eyes minority holding in Liverpool

Liverpool ownership news

A consortium headed by British-Indian businessman Amit Bhatia has entered discussions over acquiring a minority shareholding in Liverpool, with the club’s owners, Fenway Sports Group, confirming the expression of interest.

Bhatia, who recently ended his long association with QPR after 18 years as co-owner and director, is leading the potential investment, although no agreement has yet been reached.

If completed, the deal would mirror FSG’s previous minority stake sale in 2023 and reportedly place Liverpool’s valuation at more than £4.5 billion, marking a significant increase since FSG acquired the club for £300 million in 2010.
