INTROS returns for 2026

Award-winning artist Georgia Lines announces the return of INTROS for 2026, marking the fifth season of the acclaimed live performance and interview series that has become a defining platform for emerging artists in New Zealand.

“Presented by Spark and Spotify, in partnership with Rolling Stone AU/NZ, the series expands the reach and impact of INTROS across digital, editorial and streaming platforms.

“Now in its fifth year, INTROS continues its mission to spotlight the next generation of New Zealand artists through honest conversation and intimate live performance.

“The 2026 season launches with Episode One, out now, featuring rising Māori soul and R&B artist Jaedyn Randell. Randell’s episode dives deep into the stories, influences and experiences that shape her music, from her breakout journey on The Voice Australia and her dedication to representing her heritage, to her work voicing iconic Disney characters in Moana in te reo Māori.

“We are so excited to introduce you to the wonderful Kyla Greening! She’s got so much soul and carries such a lightness that is so contagious. Her music very much does what she hopes it would evoke with her listeners… “make you feel like a home cooked meal”. In this weeks episode she talks about being a part of an Artist development programme with out lovely friends at Parachute Studios, recovering from a vocal injury, and what she thinks would be a helpful change in our industry. From us to you… we bring you episode 2 (with no rhyme intended) with Kyla Greening.”

“INTROS has always been about creating space. Space for artists to speak honestly about their journeys and space for audiences to understand the story behind a song. Every episode feels incredibly special.”

Each episode of INTROS centres on one key song. Through thoughtful conversation, Georgia and her guest unpack the lyricism, creative process, production choices and emotional weight behind the music before presenting a live, stripped back performance.

Since launching in 2022, INTROS has featured more than 20 emerging artists and become one of New Zealand’s most respected independent music platforms.

With editorial support and feature coverage from Rolling Stone AU/NZ, and series presentation by Spark and Spotify, INTROS bridges storytelling, performance and discovery in a way that reflects how audiences connect with music today.

The 2026 season is also supported by APRA AMCOS and the New Zealand Music Commission, reinforcing the industry wide commitment to nurturing and elevating emerging artists.
