ABC has yanked Jimmy Kimmel Live! “indefinitely” after the host’s Monday monologue drew controversy for allegedly mis-characterising suspected shooter Tyler Robinson as a conservative while commenting on Charlie Kirk’s killing.
Executives deemed the remarks “concerning,” cancelling Wednesday’s taping even as guests and fans had begun arriving at Los Angeles’ El Capitan Theatre, according to CNN, with Deadline reporting Kimmel had been set to clarify his comments that night. In the monologue, Kimmel accused the “MAGA gang” of seeking political advantage from the assassination.
