King Charles reflects on global conflicts and the spirit of service in Christmas message

In his Christmas Broadcast King Charles highlighted the devastating impact of global conflicts in the Middle East, Central Europe, Africa, and beyond, drawing attention to their daily toll on lives and livelihoods.

Reflecting on the enduring example of selflessness from D-Day veterans and the humanitarian efforts of organisations worldwide, the King called for unity and compassion in addressing suffering.

Speaking from the former Middlesex Hospital Chapel, he praised the tireless work of healthcare professionals and volunteers, noting their vital role in bringing light to darkness and hope to despair.

Drawing on the Nativity story and the universal values of love, mercy, and service, the King urged communities to listen, repair trust, and embrace diversity as a source of strength.
