A Colorado woman accused of killing two of her children has been extradited from the United Kingdom and is now back in U.S. custody, prosecutors have confirmed.
Kimberlee Singler, 37, was arrested in London in December 2023 after allegedly fleeing the US following the deaths of her nine-year-old daughter and seven-year-old son at their Colorado Springs home.
She unsuccessfully fought extradition in a UK court, arguing that a potential sentence would breach European human rights law.
Authorities say Singler faces multiple charges, including two counts of first-degree murder, attempted murder, child abuse and assault, and is being held without bail ahead of an initial court appearance.
Prosecutors allege police responding to a reported burglary found the children dead, a blood-stained handgun at the scene and a third child seriously injured but alive, while evidence and tracking data ruled out Singler’s ex-husband as a suspect.
