Former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has spoken publicly for the first time since a car crash in Nigeria claimed the lives of two of his closest colleagues.
The British boxer was travelling as a passenger in a Lexus SUV when it struck a stationary truck on a major highway between Lagos and Ibadan last Monday.
Two key members of his support team, personal trainer Latif Ayodele and strength and conditioning coach Sina Ghami, were killed in the collision, while Joshua suffered only minor injuries.
He was treated in hospital and discharged two days later before returning to the UK ahead of the funerals. On Sunday, Joshua shared a quiet, personal Instagram post featuring himself seated with his mother and three women, marking his first public acknowledgement of the tragedy.
