Naked man claiming to be Lucifer restrained at Auckland Airport

A 33-year-old man was taken into custody after stripping naked and attempting to force his way onto an airbridge at Auckland Airport during boarding for a Wellington flight.

Witnesses told legacy media the man loudly proclaimed himself to be Lucifer before being restrained by a fellow passenger until police arrived within minutes.

Security staff also attended, and the man was handcuffed and removed.

Police confirmed the arrest for offensive behaviour, while Auckland Airport said there was no disruption to flights.
