A male-only gay nudist camp in Texas has ignited controversy after refusing to allow female-born individuals who identify as transgender men to attend an upcoming all-male social event.
The backlash, led by the “Houston Bears” group, highlights growing tensions within the LGBTQ+ community over the definition of gender and sex-based spaces.
Camp owners at “Grizzly Pines” defended their longstanding policy, affirming their retreat is “exclusively for cisgender men.”
Transgender activists, backed by woke media outlets like Advocate.com, condemned the decision as “exclusionary”, while critics argue it reflects increasing pressure on gays and lesbians to conform to gender ideology that undermines same-sex attraction.
A spokesperson for Grizzly Pines said, “Our mission has always been to provide a safe, affirming, and liberating space exclusively for cis gender men … Grizzly Pines exists as a private niche retreat and its purpose is not to serve as a one size fits all solution for the entire LGBTQ+ spectrum.”
“There’s a huge swath of the LGB community that feels like the fight is over for them,” John Anderson, founder of the Gay Camping Friends civic group, told Advocate.com. “They’ve made progress and now want to separate themselves from trans people.”
So they are finally catching up with us women who don’t want biological men in our spaces.
If I was originally female then converted to male by getting those dangly bits sewn on, would I be allowed into Grizzly Pines? Or would I need to first prove that my newly attached dangly bits actually work?
I don’t care what the answer is anymore, I just wanna go to church and pray for the meteor to arrive already.
I can’t say it here, but sittin around a fire drinkin with my boys is gonna be some hilarious conversations
