Canadian lawmakers have launched the four-day Allison Inquiry into alleged Covid-19 vaccine injuries, running from 8-11 September and hearing testimony from 50 Canadians.
More than 1,400 people reportedly sought to participate. The Inquiry opened with US Senator Ron Johnson calling for greater scrutiny of vaccine safety, Government decision-making and compensation systems.
Witnesses described serious, ongoing health problems and difficulties accessing treatment, while organisers highlighted shortcomings in Canada’s vaccine-injury compensation programme.
The Inquiry aims to place affected Canadians’ experiences on the public record and press policymakers for greater recognition, research, medical support and compensation.
