Canterbury Police are disappointed with the number of motorists who continue to display dangerous driving behaviours on roads.
In just over an hour, North Canterbury Highway Patrol issued six infringements for drivers crossing the centre line on State Highway 1 over the Hundalee mountain range.
This included one motorist who was towing a trailer, observed with all four wheels of their vehicle on the opposite side of the road, as they went around a corner.
‘It is incredibly frustrating that we are catching so many drivers who are not only risking their own lives, but also those of other motorists,’ said Sergeant John Hamilton, North Canterbury Highway Patrol.
‘This is how head-on collisions occur, especially on or near corners where motorists have less time to react.
‘Failing to keep left results in a $150 fine and 20 demerit points.
‘We will continue to pull drivers over for this behaviour, in an attempt to improve driving behaviour on our roads.’
A direct result of the Covid vaccine and the prions that are now attacking the axons / neurons of the brain…resulting in a remarkable diminishing of cognitive thinking and counter-productive behaviours…
Stand by- it’s only going to get worse!!!
Probably just dodging potholes… Tell the cop to go catch a rapist/murderer… Go get a real criminal like a politician or go depatch a gang member…ftp
I support this initiative 110%. In my urban suburb, “keep left” and “give way to traffic traveling uphill” is a rarity. It’s given way to “first car to the overlap wins”.
Prob just me getting older and cranky but I’m getting sick of being forced to cede the road to aggressive drivers with no knowledge of the road rules.
It’s the Rugby mindset- run over anything / anyone who is in your way!
When the opposing player is down, step on his / her throat!
Road Rules are out the window due to the Covid vaccines dinimishing the cognitive functioning of the human brain that is now deep inside the blood / brain barrier with prions attaching to the nerve axons…
Check out the wandering, mindless behaviours in the supermarkets…they drive the same way as they push their trolleys! (that is, unless they abandon their trolleys in the middle of the aisle with no consideration or forethought that someone else may need to get by…same thing in traffic!).
