Fatal crash: SH1, Johnsonville Porirua Motorway
Police can confirm one person has died following a crash on State Highway 1, north of Wellington on Friday.
The two-vehicle crash between the Tawa-Grenada North on-ramp and the Churton Park-Glenside off-ramp was reported about 4:40pm.
A second person sustained critical injuries.
The road opened shortly before 11pm after the Serious Crash Unit conducted a scene examination.
Fatal crash, Gisborne
Police can confirm one person has died following a crash in Patutahi, west of Gisborne.
The single vehicle crash on Wharekopae Road was reported at around 5:20pm on Friday.
One person died at the scene, while multiple others were injured in the crash, including two seriously.

Fatal crash, Great Barrier Island
One person has died following a serious crash on Great Barrier Island on Saturday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Mulberry Grove Road and Shoal Bay Road at around 12.20pm.
Sadly, one person was located deceased at the scene.
There are no other reports of injuries.
The Serious Crash Unit was in attendance, and has conducted a scene examination.
