A 32-year-old Tasman man charged with the New Year’s Day murder of Senior Sergeant Lyn Fleming in Nelson has been granted interim name suppression until January 10 to allow time to inform a relative overseas.
The accused, who faces eight charges including murder, attempted murder, and dangerous driving, appeared in Nelson District Court tpday, where he was remanded in custody without plea until February 14.
According to a report in legacy media. both defense and prosecution lawyers condemned online commentary about the case, warning it could impact the fairness of the trial.
Judge Richard Russell also ordered the removal of video footage from Buxton Square from media and social media sites, where the incident occurred, to ensure impartiality in any potential trial.
What’s the f****** hold up. Caught on film, witnesses, guilty as f***, case closed.
They need time to delete all CCTV footage and furiously censor all social media and triple name suppress etc so that no one can openly discuss the painfully obvious truth about “Tasman man”. If he was Caucasian you’d already know his name, age, street address and who he voted for.
More interested in maintaining the political fairytale than seeing justice done (as usual).
He’s had 2+ days to contact the relative at the taxpayers expense. What a mockery.
Who cares about his relative. Just name the f*****r and stop this supression BS.
Does this happen in America?
The courts only name people if it is in the public interest—that NEVER happens. The courts will only name someone if it’s in the PM’s interest, as we found out during the Ardern regime. The Public interest does not matter; you don’t matter. The government is a bureaucracy that answers to itself.
Sounds like the religion of peace me thinks
