The Hurricanes broke into the top six of Super Rugby Pacific with a 29-35 victory over the ACT Brumbies in Canberra, becoming the first New Zealand team to win in Australia in 2025.
Dominant throughout, the Hurricanes built a five-point halftime lead and stretched it to 13 before holding off a late Brumbies surge.
Wingers Kini Naholo and Ngatungane Punivai starred with two tries each, while the Brumbies, despite strong efforts from Allan Alaalatoa, Len Ikitau, and Andy Muirhead, struggled with limited possession and costly errors in the closing stages.
