Former First Lady Melania Trump has called for answers to “uncover the truth” behind the attempted assassination of her husband, former President Donald Trump, nearly two months ago.
Trump narrowly escaped death when Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, opened fire on him during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on July 13. The incident was a “horrible, distressing experience” for the family, Melania said in a video posted on X on Tuesday.

The would-be assassin positioned himself on a nearby rooftop that provided an unobstructed view of the Republican candidate. One bullet grazed the former president’s right ear, resulting in one attendee’s death and injuries to two others. The shooter was subsequently killed by Secret Service agents.
The House of Representatives unanimously voted to create a bipartisan task force to investigate the attempted assassination. Comprised of seven Republicans and six Democrats, the task force aims to examine potential security lapses at the federal, state, and local levels of law enforcement that preceded the incident.
In an interview last month, Trump accused President Joe Biden and his Democratic rival, Kamala Harris, of being partly responsible for the assassination attempt.
“I think to a certain extent it’s Biden’s fault and Harris’ fault,” he said, claiming they “were making it very difficult to have proper staffing in terms of Secret Service” and “weren’t too interested in my health and safety,” while promoting rhetoric that could have encouraged the shooter.
”There is definitely more to this story, and we need to uncover the truth,” Melania said in the video, which appears to promote her upcoming memoir.

Did he get shot? His ear doesn’t look like it got shot IMO. He and his security detail didn’t act like people truly ²being shot at. Even if secret service heard a shooter was taken out, wouldn’t they act as if another could be present. Not let him have his photo op twice, making himself a clear target.
Not getting him off stage when it was known to security assets for over an hour there was a threat is another story. I can’t believe police and secret service did not have plans in place and lines of communication.

I don’t believe it was fake/staged. That’s a demonstrably idiot talking point favoured by salty leftists. And it’s not because I’m a gulla-bull RoundEarther who believes everything he sees on tv either.
There’s simply too much evidence. Too many ordinary citizens on the ground taking cellphone footage of the patsy lingering around the show grounds, climbing the roof etc. There are pics still online of the shooter lying on the sloped roof of that building with his head like a popped grape. There was also a viral clip of people at the hospital filming Trump arriving for treatment, still bleeding from his ear. Also the small matter of the fireman, Cory Comperatore hit by multiple rounds while shielding his wife and daughter (and whom leftist rag The Onion made fun of just this week). So there were definitely real bullets flying around that morning, you have a hard time convincing me that Trump (or anyone really) would be willing to WWE kayfabe an assassination attempt while there was a risk of being hit for real.
But BY FAR the biggest indication that it wasn’t staged is the fact that the entire event wasn’t discussed at length in the debate, is almost impossible to Google search, and is basically NEVER mentioned by mainstream media. Completely memory-holed.
Fictitious bullsh!t (like fake pandemics, mostly peaceful riots and free and fair elections™️) tend to be topics they incessantly prattle on about for months at a time without respite. Not virtual radio silence.
What happened that day was 100% real. Real life shootings don’t look like Bruce Willis films. Trump’s ear looks fine because it was just a graze, and also because he’s one of the wealthiest people in the world and can afford the best doctors. The police didn’t have a plan in place because they deferred to the SS (as they always do), the SS were in on it. They put Trump in harm’s way DELIBERATELY.
