NZ First Coromandel candidate pledges economic growth and climate policy overhaul

New Zealand First’s Coromandel candidate Vincent Andersen says reviving the economy, reducing regulation and defending what he describes as traditional values will be central to his election campaign, arguing the country needs a decisive change in direction after years of economic decline.

In an interview with independent journalist Penny Marie, Andersen, a Matamata-born businessman and current Matamata-Piako District councillor, said his background in international procurement and business management had prepared him for Parliament, adding that he was “not going to back down” when representing constituents.

He identified the cost of living as the dominant concern raised by voters and argued economic growth required greater investment in mining, oil and gas exploration, saying New Zealand needed to “look down into the ground if we’re going to get ourselves out of this economic hole.”

Andersen backed environmentally managed resource extraction, pointing to the Waihi gold mine as evidence it could be done responsibly. He also criticised climate policies, saying New Zealand should withdraw from the Paris Agreement and repeal the Climate Change Response Act, while arguing emissions policies were placing unnecessary burdens on businesses and farmers.

Andersen said he supported New Zealand First’s stance on diversity, equity and inclusion policies, calling for a stronger push against them, and praised the party for championing legislation on biological sex. Looking ahead, he said his priority would be fighting for improved infrastructure across the electorate, including replacement of key bridges, while urging voters to support New Zealand First’s party vote to maximise the party’s influence in the next Parliament.

  1. Any party pushing to let private sector corporations use (and quite possibly abuse) our conservation land, will NEVER EVER get my vote. I don’t see too, how violating these long standing protected natural treasures is supporting “traditional values”. Feels like yet more radical globalism, to me. In short take a running jump NZL.

  2. Voting for a party that is nowhere near the 5% threshold is all waste of your vote. It wont be counted.

For me its a process of elimination.

Luxton is an arrogant dimwit. The poor economy is a direct result from Nationals policy of paying back borrowed money in just one term. Ignoring cries for less compliance on business and introducing policies like genetic engineering. New Zealand is going to slip back because people prefer natural products. Grass fed beef and not this shitty crap that has the potential to harm their health. I won’t be putting any GE products in my body. The Tax take along with compliance and regulations has put companies out of business. It would’ve been better for national to have rolled Luxon for Bishop.

Hipkins was the man who threw out the economy and barked lockdowns, injection that were clearly poisonous into citizens. He orded the assault on peaceful protesters. He didn’t even attend the enquiry. Now why is that? Hipkins knows full well that the poisonous injections were deadly and a bio weapon. He is a genocidal maniac and belongs in prison. In my opinion he is a woke little chimpanzee without purpose. Even rating him a monkey is way to kind.

The green party wrecked the economy and reduced NZ Independence by forcing the destruction of the oil refinery. Is NZ using less oil? No. Oil is just getting refined overseas. Its costing us more and makes us less independent.

The two political parties that will help NZ the most is Act and NZ First. Both are pulling way above the 5% threshold. Both have policies geared to help businesses succeed. Help business to employ more. Both hate woke as much as the rest of us do.

Perhaps my biggest wish is for NZ is to recognise failed social engineering.. The family court has put an end to birthrate, increased the numder of housing needed. No man can meet the expectations or is willing to risk being a slave. Mentality and financially abused for life by the feminist family, court.

Parties, who wish to succeed, should take a very close look at Pauline Hanson. Her policies have really stuck a cord with the voters in Australia. She alone is awake to male suicide and the birthrate crisis. If men can automatically secure property rights, that would go a long way in stabilising the economy and reduce the reliance on immigration. Complicated, expensive and ongoing protection of property rights before engagement has to be eliminated before men will consider it safe to have a family. Pauline Hanson and her one nation party is going from strength to strength while the mainstream parties are getting kicked to the curb.

Can’t see any woke in either ACT or NZ First.

I haven’t mentioned the Maori party. Heres my view. These guys are racist, lazy and self privileged little shits. Their policy is overseeing any and all decisions. Their policy is to secure eye watering funding if they support a particular project. Thats just nonsense. If the truth is offensive. Stop ignoring the core of the issue.

    • How will any party get to 5% if you don’t take a chance on voting for them? If you vote mainstream you will only get more of the same. That’s a FAR BIGGER RISK in my opinion.

    • So vote for NZF or ACT who worked with them for the last term? How’s that fixing anything going forward? What did they do to counter National BTW? What will they do next time based on the last three years?

  3. Amazes me how people come here, complain bitterly and then blithely vote for “more of the same”, using self defeating logic that wont change anything. A vote for ANY of the mainstream party’s is a vote for the others too, given they always form a coalition. Ask yourself, what have they done materially to make my life better? If you can’t find an answer try someone new. One Nation Australia didn’t get anywhere until people started voting for them. Mind you, the average Australian would appear to have a bit more get up and go, than the timid Kiwi voter.

  4. He wants to be making the decisions the voters and citizens should be making by consensus via regular referendums.
Party politics is the problem, not the solution.
