Two tourists — Easton Janet Taylor, 68, from the UK, and Alison Jean Taylor, 67, from New Zealand — were killed by a charging elephant while on a walking safari in Zambia’s South Luangwa National Park.
The pair, accompanied by an armed wildlife officer and others, encountered a female elephant with a calf, prompting them to divert their path.
Despite warning shouts and shots from the ranger, the elephant charged, first catching Alison, who had a leg injury, and then Easton.
Both died at the scene. The tragic incident follows other rare but fatal elephant attacks on tourists in Zambia, highlighting ongoing safety risks during close wildlife encounters.

Media ask why there are more and more people being killed by animals, do you need to ask? This is a long road of pay back and it will not be ending soon.
