
Police have one person in custody following a firearms incident in Henderson last evening.
Police were alerted to reports of a firearm being discharged at an address on Newington Road shortly before 9pm.
On arrival, a woman was located with critical injuries. Immediate first aid was provided however she sadly died at the scene.
There was a Police presence in the area overnight.
Police would like to reassure the community that they do not believe there to be an ongoing risk to the public.
