Name release, fatal crash Taupo
Police are now able to release the names of the two people who died in a crash in Taupo last week.
Claire Ball, 51, of Rotorua and Lynda Ball, 76, of Taupo died at the scene of the two-vehicle crash on Broadlands Road on January 5.
‘Our thoughts are with their family and loved ones,’ said police in a statement.
The circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
Have you seen Ina?
The 61-year-old, who has dementia, has been reported missing from her residence in Paraparaumu Beach.
She was last seen Monday evening, on foot, in the clothing shown in the photograph.
Police, Ina’s family and those at her residence have concerns for her safety.
Police are focusing their search on the Waikanae Beach and estuary area, and ask any residents in those areas to check around their properties.
Land Search and Rescue are assisting with the search, as well as a Police drone.
