‘Green energy’ entrepreneur and UK Labour donor Dale Vince has been ordered to pay his ex-wife, Kate Vince, over £40 million in a divorce settlement following a High Court ruling.
The judgment includes payments totaling £43.51 million in three installments starting April 2025, with Kate’s total assets reaching £45.64 million.
The court criticized Vince’s alleged “reckless” financial decisions, including substantial donations to political and charitable causes, but ruled his motivations were political, not linked to the case.
The couple disputed their separation timeline, with the judge noting they maintained some intimacy post-2021. Vince called the settlement “character assassination” and claimed it fell £12 million below his original offer.
