Teenager avoids prison for “depraved” sexual assaults on young girl

19-year-old Blake Ivan Miller from Timaru has been sentenced to 10 months of home detention for repeated and severe sexual assaults on a young girl, avoiding a potential seven-year prison sentence in the process.

Despite the gravity of his crimes, which included three charges of sexual violation and one of indecent acts on a child, Miller received significant sentence reductions due to his personal circumstances, including a history of concussion, developmental issues, and depression.

The judge, who described the case as “highly unusual”, also cited Miller’s youth and potential for rehabilitation as reasons for the lighter sentence, and did not place him on the national sex offender register.

The victim’s parents were outraged at the sentence and told legacy media they felt betrayed by the justice system.

They were also concerned about Miller’s proximity to other young girls while serving his home detention sentence and felt that the punishment did not adequately reflect the severity of his actions.

Despite their powerful victim impact statements, which Judge Crosbie acknowledged deeply moved him, the court maintained that the “significant mitigating factors” warranted a lesser sentence.

The victim’s mother condemned the outcome as a “grave injustice”, fearing for her daughter’s recovery and feeling that Miller had effectively escaped proper punishment for his heinous crimes.

  1. Usual excuses. Perpetrator acts like they are the victim here…..

If this scum did anything to one of my kids he’d be getting a concussion alright…..

    No excuses! 😡

  2. Commit the crime you should do the time, no excuses anymore. Everyone has a sob story, just not everyone plays the victim. If he’s got issues best place for him is a psych – ward with proper help. And when he does the same thing again the judge will just say He he I’m sorry.

    • Castrate…both physically and chemically, and display the ‘nads in a jar of formaldahide that can be taken on tour to all of the schools which shows the end result of abusing, assaulting and raping girls and young women who do NOT consent!

  3. Judge Crosbie is obviously a weak spineless ‘man’ with no moral compass.

Preferring the ‘sob story’ of a criminal pervert above the rights of the victim.

Judge Crosbie is a feeble-minded disgrace.

  4. Judge Crosbie is simply following the dictates of the New Normal. It is not just in New Zealand that sexual predators get excuses made for them. The justice system throughout the world is the same. Excuses are even made for gang rape. We still get pretty upset when rape occurs when it is clear the woman or girl cannot be blamed – which is the usual excuse for misogynists – but when it happens on a daily basis we will get used to it. I remember globalist Sarkozy when he was president of France saying that if not enough intermarrying with immigrants was taking place that ‘we have other means to ensure this will happen…’ And so it will be. Islam generally marries the victim to her rapist. Problem solved. Globalist Item 1 – criminalise abortion and ultimately contraception Item 2 – normalise rape and sanctify the women who give birth to the results of their outrage but if they won’t look after them then Item 3 – open baby boxes (19 states in the US now have them) and build orphanages
This is the beginning of a re-set society built largely on parentless children who belong to the state – and we haven’t even finished all the enquiries into the tragic results of ‘children in care’ which was commonplace last century.

  5. The judge cited the rapists age and said his brain had not finished growing. This can only lead to questions of the judges own youth & what he got up to.

Does the judge think the rapist or the child is the victim here?

Does this ruling set a precedent where its OK to rape & abuse children as long as you are under 25 Years Old?

  6. I was in a jury where a 20 year old tried to say that he was affected by concussion by some car accident he had from speeding a few years earlier. The charge was he had interfered with his girlfriend’s 5 year old son. The little fella was video linked into the courtroom. I had a 5 year old myself at the time and there was just no way a kid that age would know what the little victim said had happened to him, poor wee soul. Anyway we all saw through the 20 year old poor me concussion excuse and found the sicko guilty.

What the HELL a is wrong with this judge in Timaru? The guy said he did it so lock the f*cker up already! 😡

  7. This whole sentencing is crap. His learning disability is dyslexia. He had just finished a mechanic apprentice course. Got a job after the crime. He might of got depression after he thought he might go to jail. Wasn’t months prior like applied. He had only just got his gun license. Police don’t give gun license to people suffering depression. His patents paid thousands to the best criminal lawyer to kept him out of jail and keep it a secret. The family went to the media so the public knew. The public can thank His parents Brent and Rebecca miller for allowing him to do HD in their family home with his 14 year old sister and numerous other potential victims on their farms
