Former prime minister Helen Clark has labelled Opportunity Party leader Qiulae Wong’s Q+A interview over the weekend a “train wreck,” criticising her defence of TOP’s positions as “fantasy posing as policy”.
Wong was also challenged over the party accepting more than $400,000 in large donations while proposing restrictions on them, and conceded its board could overrule elected MPs in some circumstances.
