Trump slams European leaders as ‘weak’ and ‘stupid’

Donald Trump has called European leaders weak and stupid

The US president has unleashed a scathing critique of Western Europe, branding the EU-aligned region a “decaying” collection of states run by leaders too weak to manage migration or contribute meaningfully to resolving the Ukraine conflict.

Speaking to Politico, he accused Europe’s political class of being paralysed by political correctness and unwilling to take the decisive steps needed to secure their borders.

Trump argued that unchecked, unvetted migration is pushing several European nations toward potential collapse, praising countries like Hungary and Poland for resisting EU-style policies while criticising others, including Germany and Sweden, for losing control.

While noting he maintains friendly relations with many European leaders, he said the continent is led by a mix of “good,” “bad,” “smart,” and even “stupid” politicians, insisting that Europe “doesn’t know what to do” as it drifts deeper into crisis.

Discussing mass immigration, Trump said, “If it keeps going the way it’s going, Europe will not be in my opinion, many of those countries will not be viable countries any longer,” he said. “Their immigration policy is a disaster. What they’re doing with immigration is a disaster.”

  1. On this point Trump is 110% right. That said the US is hardly secure either, even under his watch. Indeed, I suspect at this point its impossible to put the horse back in the stable.

  2. Weak and stupid? I suppose he couldn’t really say deranged psychopaths who were elevated into positions of power to cull the herd now could he.
