The New Zealand Breakers slid to a third straight loss after being outplayed 99–85 by the Brisbane Bullets in an National Basketball League clash that flipped expectations.
Brisbane, winless in seven and reeling by big margins, erupted for 56 first-half points and led by as many as 20, exposing the Breakers’ defensive lapses and staying composed to seal a confidence-boosting victory.
Tyrell Harrison dominated with 24 points and 11 rebounds, while Javon Freeman-Liberty delivered a near triple-double, as the Bullets improved to 6–14. For the Breakers, now 7–13 and slipping from top-six contention, Parker Jackson-Cartwright led the fight with 26 points, supported by Izaiah Brockington and Carlin Davison, but coach Petteri Koponen lamented a first-half defensive breakdown.
The Breakers stay on the road to face the Tasmania JackJumpers on Boxing Day.
