Crystal Palace have turned down a £70 million bid from Tottenham for defender Marc Guehi, who has 18 months left on his contract.
The England international, previously targeted by Newcastle, has been a key player for Palace this season, making 23 appearances and scoring three goals.
Despite Spurs’ defensive injury crisis, they are unlikely to raise their offer for the 24-year-old in this transfer window.
Chelsea, who sold Guehi to Palace for £18 million in 2021, are also monitoring him as a potential target.
Palace, facing their own defensive shortage, have struggled to secure reinforcements, missing out on Portugal’s Tiago Djalo.
Meanwhile, Spurs have bolstered their squad by signing Lens defender Kevin Danso on loan but continue to explore other defensive options, including Chelsea’s Axel Disasi and AC Milan’s Fikayo Tomori.
