Former Springboks winger Cornal Hendricks has died at the age of 37, reportedly from a massive heart attack.
Hendricks played 12 tests for South Africa, including a memorable try against the All Blacks in 2014.
His promising career was derailed in 2016 by a serious heart condition, forcing an early retirement.
However, he made a remarkable comeback in 2019, joining the Bulls and making 72 appearances.
He also won Commonwealth Games gold with the Blitz Bokke and represented multiple provincial teams in South Africa. Hendricks had spoken openly about the emotional toll of his diagnosis and recovery.
