Fulham draw as Palace winless run continues

Tom Cairney came off the bench to rescue a point for Fulham with a superb equaliser as Crystal Palace were held at Selhurst Park and slipped to four Premier League games without a win.

Jean-Philippe Mateta had put Palace ahead with a first-half header after the hosts largely controlled proceedings, but Fulham improved after the break and were rewarded when Cairney curled a fine finish in from the edge of the area.

The visitors went close to snatching victory late on, only for Dean Henderson to deny Timothy Castagne and Joachim Andersen to miss a clear chance, leaving both sides to settle for a draw that keeps Palace ninth and Fulham just behind them on goal difference.
