The Sydney Kings produced a ruthless all-court performance to crush the New Zealand Breakers 103–62 at Spark Arena, overcoming the absence of stars Xavier Cooks and Bul Kuol with ease.
A devastating second quarter, in which Sydney went on a 22–0 run and outscored the Breakers 27–4, effectively ended the contest as the hosts endured more than six scoreless minutes and shot just 2-of-20 in the period.
Kouat Noi led a balanced Kings attack with 18 points and seven rebounds, supported by strong contributions from Tim Soares, Jaylin Galloway, Makuach Maluach and Tyler Robertson.
The Breakers struggled throughout, shooting 34 per cent overall and 6-of-37 from three-point range, as the loss left their season in serious doubt at 8-15 while Sydney improved to 14-9 and strengthened their push up the ladder.
