Last-gasp try lifts Brumbies past Blues in Canberra

The Brumbies have maintained their unbeaten Super Rugby Pacific start with a dramatic 30-27 victory over the Blues in Canberra, sealed by a last-minute try from Charlie Cale.

After the Blues led by nine points with 10 minutes remaining, momentum shifted when Stephen Perofeta was sin-binned, allowing Luke Reimer to spark the comeback. With the final siren sounding, Cale recovered from a fumble near the line to dive over from close range and snatch the win, ending the Blues’ seven-year winning streak in the capital.

Despite conceding 15 turnovers and squandering earlier dominance, the Brumbies finished strongly with two late tries to edge a contest that had been level at halftime and swung repeatedly in a high-quality encounter.
