Lydia Ko secured her first HSBC Women’s World Championship victory in 11 attempts with a final-round 69 at Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore, finishing at 13-under 275 for her 23rd LPGA Tour win.
She held off Japan’s Ayake Furue and Thailand’s Jeeno Thitikul, who tied for second, four strokes behind.
The victory earned Ko $360,000 and elevated her to second place on the LPGA’s career official money list with $20.6 million.
Overcoming past disappointments in this tournament, the 27-year-old LPGA Hall of Famer credited her steady start and crucial birdies for her triumph, expressing gratitude for the support she has received in Singapore over the years.
