Manchester United have reportedly made it clear captain Bruno Fernandes will not be sold before the transfer window closes, despite interest from Galatasaray, Juventus and AC Milan.
Galatasaray were understood to be considering a package worth up to €50 million (£42.7m), but senior Old Trafford sources say the 31-year-old is not available at any price and no formal bids have yet been received.
The stance differs from last summer, when United left Fernandes to decide whether to accept a lucrative offer from Saudi club Al-Hilal, an approach the Portuguese midfielder later said had “hurt” him.
Fernandes has one year remaining on his contract, plus an option for another season, and is understood to want to stay, although no extension has been agreed. His £57m release clause has expired, strengthening United’s negotiating position. Fernandes registered a Premier League-record 21 assists last season and is among the leading contenders for the 2025-26 PFA Player of the Year award.
