Marata Niukore will celebrate his 150th NRL appearance when the One New Zealand Warriors host the Gold Coast Titans this Saturday at Go Media Stadium.
The back rower, who began his career in the Warriors’ junior system before playing 96 games for Parramatta, returns for his 54th appearance with the Warriors. Also marking a key change is the return of fullback Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad from a knee injury, reclaiming his starting position after missing two games. Taine Tuaupiki moves to the extended bench alongside four other reserves.
The Warriors enter the match with a strong 12-5 record, sitting fourth on the ladder and level on points with the Melbourne Storm. Their opponent, the Titans, sit at the bottom of the table after a heartbreaking 21-20 loss to the Tigers.
Despite their struggles, the Titans have beaten the Warriors in five of their last six meetings, including two wins at Go Media Stadium led by current Warriors halfback Tanah Boyd. The match also serves as part of a triple-header with the club’s NRLW and New South Wales Cup teams in action.
