Scotland produced one of the most emphatic performances in 6 Nations history with a stunning 50-40 victory over France at Murrayfield, running in seven tries to dismantle the title favourites before a late French rally narrowed the margin.
Scotland led 19-14 at halftime after early scores from Darcy Graham, Kyle Steyn and Pierre Schoeman, then blew the contest apart after the break with further tries from Ben White, Steyn again, Graham again and Tom Jordan to surge to 47-14.
France, sparked by Antoine Dupont and Thomas Ramos, scored four late tries to secure a bonus point, but Scotland’s dominance for much of the match kept them firmly in the title race and handed Gregor Townsend’s side a third straight championship win.
