Steven Adams is staying with the Houston Rockets after agreeing to a fully guaranteed three-year, USD $39 million contract.
The deal, reached ahead of the NBA’s 2025 free agency period, reflects mutual enthusiasm between Adams and the team following his strong playoff contributions.
Despite serving as a backup to All-Star Alperen Sengun, Adams played a key leadership role and proved effective in “double big” lineups.
After returning from major knee surgery last season, the 32-year-old is expected to be at full strength for the 2025–26 campaign and could see an expanded role.
Adams played 58 games after missing the 2023-24 season, and averaged 22.1 minutes in the playoffs in a critical role for a team that was +44 with him on the floor versus -44 without. Adams led the NBA in offensive rebounding percentage this season as well, per ESPN Research. https://t.co/vkPclEqOxV
