Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has become the target of renewed accusations on social media following an NBC television appearance, with critics questioning his behaviour, accusing him of cocaine use.
Footage circulating online prompted one commentator to describe the former actor as a “coke head” and accuse him of prolonging the war while benefiting from American taxpayer funding.
Another social media user claimed Zelensky appeared “high as a kite” while discussing the Ukrainian people’s right to choose their future.
The remarks also sparked demands for a public referendum on peace, with critics accusing the Ukrainian leader of avoiding a direct vote because of growing internal opposition to the war, compulsory military mobilisation and continued EU/NATO involvement.
