A Utah court has postponed the next hearing in the case of Tyler Robinson, the man accused of killing conservative commentator Charlie Kirk, from October 30 to January 16, 2026.

Judge Tony Graf announced the delay on Monday local time, citing the need for additional time to complete discovery and to consider motions regarding virtual hearings and courtroom camera restrictions.

Kirk, a prominent supporter of former U.S. President Donald Trump, was shot dead while speaking at Utah Valley University on September 10. The court confirmed that Robinson, 22, will be required to appear in person at both the January 16 and January 30 hearings.

Robinson has been charged with aggravated murder and six related offenses. Utah County Attorney Jeff Gray has said prosecutors intend to seek the death penalty.
