Family accuses Hamas of starving Israeli hostage

Evyatar David news
Evyatar David before captivity (L), and recently (R).

The family of Evyatar David, a 24-year-old Israeli hostage held by Hamas since October 7, 2023, has accused the group of deliberately starving him as part of a propaganda campaign.

Their statement followed the release of a disturbing video showing an emaciated David inside a narrow tunnel, claiming he hadn’t eaten in days and was digging his own grave.

Describing him as a “living skeleton, buried alive,” the family urged the Israeli government and international community to take urgent action to save him. David was among 251 hostages abducted from southern Israel, and is one of 49 still believed to be held in captivity.
