French nationalist leader Jean-Marie Le Pen dies

Jean-Marie Le Pen news

Jean-Marie Le Pen, the founder of France’s National Front and a defining figure in the country’s modern political history, has died at 96.

Le Pen passed away in a care facility surrounded by family.

Known for his views on race, immigration, and the Holocaust, Le Pen shaped the discourse on national identity and immigration for decades.

Despite multiple convictions for “hate speech” and “Holocaust denial”, he maintained a loyal base of supporters drawn to his nationalist platform.

Le Pen’s political career peaked in 2002 when he shocked the nation by advancing to the presidential run-off against Jacques Chirac, though he was soundly defeated. His influence laid the groundwork for the party’s evolution into a mainstream political force under the leadership of his daughter, Marine Le Pen.

Marine Le Pen was abroad when she received news of his death and is returning to France.

Tributes and criticisms poured in from across the political spectrum, reflecting Le Pen’s polarizing legacy. President Emmanuel Macron referred to him as a “historic figure” whose impact will be judged by history, while radical left leader Jean-Luc Mélenchon condemned Le Pen’s ideology but acknowledged the right of his family to grieve.

Le Pen’s nationalist rhetoric remains a cornerstone of right-wing politics in France, though his divisive statements and legal troubles continued to define his later years, leading to his expulsion from the party in 2015 after he repeated dismissive remarks about the Holocaust.

  1. Much villified, but he was on many subjects and especially immigration right all along. An erudite and intelligent man with a great sense of humour ( not always understood). Knew also all greek and latin classics and had a huge memory. From working class stock, has elevated himself to aristocrat in the good meaning of the word.
And a true patriot with a deep knowledge of all facets of France and of its past since and before WOII. He had also a great love for France and the French.

As for the holocaust, it is in France forbiden to says a word against the jewish official version ; true or not.

    Much loved by many
    May he rest in peace.

    • “…the jewish official version ; true or not.”
Well if it was true there wouldn’t be the need to criminalize any research, questions and findings.

  2. R.I.P. Jean-Marie Le Pen. He was probably right about everything because we’re in a right tits up now.

It was good he lived to a ripe old age. You can’t take that away from him, commie scum, Mélenchon and globalist twat, Macron. However, history will indeed judge you.

  3. Read about him on RT, sounds like a great man. A true patriot who put his people FIRST. The kind needed in politics, more so today then ever.

  4. Once people realize that all official narrative is spiIIIIIn, they will realize their power.
Woe upon any half-wit psychopath who thought he/she/it could make a living outa that.
Too friggin stupid to realize their parasitic endeavour?
