London cop says Aussie footballer’s ‘stupid and white’ comment left him humiliated in harassment case

Sam Kerr news

A London police officer has defended his claim that he felt harassed and humiliated by Chelsea and Australia women’s football star Samantha Kerr, as she faces trial for racially aggravated harassment.

PC Stephen Lovell told Kingston Crown Court that Kerr’s comments at Twickenham police station in January 2023 left him feeling “shocked, upset, and humiliated.”

The case centres on an altercation after Kerr and her partner, footballer Kristie Mewis, were taken to the station following an incident with a taxi driver.

Footage played to the jury captured Kerr calling the officer “stupid and white,” which Lovell later said in a second statement had caused him distress. The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) initially declined to press charges but reversed its decision after reviewing Lovell’s follow-up statement.

Under questioning from the defense, Lovell rejected claims that he had exaggerated his reaction to secure a conviction, stating, “I didn’t make something up to get a charge over the line.”

The court also heard that Kerr was intoxicated and had initially claimed she did not remember the remark, later conceding it after watching police footage.

While she admitted her behaviour was inappropriate, she denied intending to cause harm.

The case has raised broader questions about the impact of racial language and the responsibility of public figures. As the trial continues, the jury must decide whether Kerr’s words constituted racial harassment or were a regrettable lapse in judgment under the influence of alcohol.

  1. It’s all stupid.

The jury will find she did nothing wrong because (and they LITERALLY believe this), it’s “impossible to be racist against white people”. Don’t try to apply logic, this is the mind cancer they’re all brainwashed with in school. Something something “institutional power” (I can never remember because my common sense usually auto-filters it out).

Policing of language is stupid anyway, we should be free to call each other whatever ugly words we want. Forcing people to walk on eggshells around one another does NOT lead to racial harmony, in fact it erodes it, it makes people MORE resentful. Especially when it’s only ever enforced in one direction. Just let people speak freely, there’s no point in trying to keep a lid on a pot that’s already boiling over. Yes, offensive things will be said. Yes, some people will have their feelings hurt. Better than living in a population divided by intersectionality and forced fake smiles, all lying to each other.
