Newly released documents show that Lucy Letby, the former nurse convicted of murdering seven babies, had repeatedly raised concerns about poor care on her neonatal unit.
Her barrister, Mark McDonald, argued that Letby was a “hard working nurse who loved her job” and “would not let any fault pass,” insisting she was targeted for speaking out.
The documents, revealed by The Mail on Sunday, include reports where she flagged missing medical resources and failures by doctors, prompting internal reviews but ultimately leading to her removal from clinical duties.
Letby’s legal team has submitted a new application to the Criminal Cases Review Commission, claiming she was a whistleblower caught up in a “miscarriage of justice,” though lawyers for victims’ families dismissed expert findings supporting her defence as “full of analytical holes.”
The Commission is expected to deliver its report before Christmas.
Never thought she was murdering baby’s.
She was accused so that the real culprits, medical corporation and hospital governors could escape their own responsabilities , incompetences and neglicences.
I know the medical corporation very wel and know what they are capable of to escape any responsability.
Furthermore, this ” establishment” get support from insurances ( money not to be paid out in damages) and often government c.q. the judicial system.
Roten to the core.
You are so correct, and sad to say, I don’t think it is much better here.
It isn’t; these people in the UK and elsewhere then migrate to NZ and continue their practice, sometimes UNQUALIFIED, UNCERTIFIED AND UNLICENSED!
Recent brain surgery here in NZ by unqualified doctors verifies this…!
No one has given Letby a polygraph or wavelength voice test…!
They have deliberately ignored witnesses for the defence in the Masonic-based and administered Courts.
Indeed. The Dutch go abroad when complaints are filed against them.
And there seems to be agreements between university hospitals that facilitate it greatly
I once read that the neonatal unit had raw sewerage contamination from leaking sewer pipes running through the unit.
I agree with her lawyer. It is a shocking travesty of justice.
How sad is this…but that’s the size of our system, convid comes to mind.
