His ex-wife defamed the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star, says US jury.
A Virginia jury ruled in favor of actor Johnny Depp in a libel suit against his ex-wife, Amber Heard, finding that she defamed him with accusations of domestic abuse.
Depp was awarded $15 million in damages, though that may be reduced by law. Heard’s counter-suit was largely dismissed, with the jury finding Depp defamed her in only one instance, awarding $2 million in damages.
Depp sued Heard for $50 million, accusing her of libel in a 2018 Washington Post op-ed insinuating that he was a domestic abuser. Heard counter-sued for $100 million, saying Depp’s lawyer defamed her by calling the accusation a hoax. The trial opened on April 11 and went to the jury last Friday. It took three working days for the seven-person civil jury in Fairfax, Virginia to return the unanimous verdict.
I suspect this trial was given huge publicity as a diversion to downplay the Ghislaine Maxwell case which involves many golbal eites and politicians. Little truth has come out and what we know is that the wokes were heavily involved.

I have no doubt Johnnys use of alcohol and drugs can’t have been easy to deal with at times but she is hardly a saint herself and if she really wanted him sober she should have abstained as well. She was even in those tapes recorded giving Johnny Xanax and Gabapentin . She’s a hypocrite. Also what’s with inviting James Franco over to the apartment Johnny owned 2 days after johnnys mother died? And who goes to coachella when your husbands mother died???? I can’t work out if she was after Johnny for the fame or the money – maybe both. Personally if my husband was that rich or famous I think I would just be the hostess with the mostest and escort him to movie shoots and support him as well as I could. How hard could that be? She was competitive, and jealous and at the end of the day the only career she has ruined is her own. She isn’t even that good at acting I am sorry to say. The people I feel sorry for the most are her clearly bullied sister and her poor child who I fear is just another ‘prop’. I hope I am wrong about that one. Ambers lawyers won’t have done themselves any favours with their performance either.
