Watch: Massive anti-government protest chokes Prague city centre

Prague city protests

The massive crowd gathered on Saturday in the Czech Republic capital, the latest protest in a series over the last month.

Demonstrators rallied in huge numbers against the government, soaring prices and the energy crisis. Protesters also carried anti-EU and anti-NATO banners.

Protesters threaten strike and coercive action if government doesn’t resign by September 25.

“The aim of our demonstration is to demand change, mainly in solving the issue of energy prices, especially electricity and gas, which will destroy our economy this autumn,” event co-organizer Jiri Havel told iDNES.cz news website.

  1. More to come in other Euro cities; winter is not there yet. Next winter is much more gloomier unless the current set of leaders are thrown out.

  2. Isn’t it amazing this world event is missing from our mainstream media. Oh that’s right if it doesn’t come from the New Zealand government it’s fake news. The only fake I know of is Arden. I give her a rating of an qualified.

  3. Agree there’s more to come as winter sets in. Yet to any thinking person it makes the WEF agendas a lot more visible. We can see this part of it in action. Set up Ukraine for conflict in late summer, pull in the Russians, sanction the Russians, Russia responds with gas restrictions for European winter. The people react, marches and strikes…
