16th annual New Zealand Forum on the Family next month

16th Forum on the Family news

This July the 16th annual New Zealand Forum on the Family will unite a diverse group of international speakers and attendees at the Due Drop Events Centre in Manukau City.

Set for Friday, July 5th, the event promises to inspire and mobilise advocates, scholars, and leaders dedicated to strengthening family values, protecting life, and upholding religious freedoms across New Zealand, according to Family First NZ.

Following the tradition of past years, which saw sold-out sessions, the forum will feature a day packed with impactful discussions and networking opportunities aimed at fostering a society where family and marriage are revered pillars.

The day before the forum, on July 4th, attendees are invited to a Gala Celebration Dinner featuring guest speaker Lyle Shelton. The dinner offers an intimate setting to engage with fellow participants and enjoy a three-course banquet.

As for the forum itself, notable speakers such as Chloe Cole, Melissa Ohden, Maggie Hamilton, Katy Faust, and Dr. Jonathan Haidt will address pressing contemporary issues—from the impacts of gender-affirming care on minors to the challenges posed by social media on youth mental health. Each speaker will bring a unique perspective aimed at catalyzing a broader conversation about the role of family and societal values in shaping a better future for coming generations.

  1. Wonder if they are reading the DTNZ.
Then they would gain a few more introspectives on what is wrong in NZ family law.

    • Family law. What’s wrong with it and what has it caused.
If you move in with your partner and own nothing, after 36 months (sometimes just 24 months) you own half of all property. The thing that is wrong here is you never spent years of going without saving a deposit. If you don’t own it, you don’t get the capital gain either. You should never have to opt out at the beginning of the relationship. It should be automatic. It is the biggest scam out. What is yours should remain yours. What is theirs remains theirs. The child like make believe fantasy is to pretend property rights belong to someone who never paid for it.
Lawyers take hundreds of thousands of dollars to process cases in Family Court.
It can take many years to resolve as the family court is overloaded.
Children are most commonly used to justify decades of occupation of property that parent never owned, or just ransom access a parent’s contact to children for money.
Parental alienation should be criminalised with custodial sentence and immediate change of care.
The problem has led to many people not allowing partners to move in. That causes two dwellings for one relationship.
It is the leading cause of suicide. Mainly in fathers but common in children.
Women call it a man drought. Men call it MGTOW. Men going their own way.
Many men have now decided to rent a woman for an evening if they want one.
It is no wonder why many of the nation’s children turn to hard drugs, prostitution and crime to pay for it. They consider gangs family.
The history of just so many NZ family horror stories can be found here.

      • OMG! Thank you for that link.
I heard many stories over the decades, but never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that the situation is that bad.
New Zealand, a country protecting families and its most dependent, the children?
        Yeah right!
        Absolute DISGUSTING!
