Elijah Wood has officially tied the knot with his longtime partner, Danish producer Mette-Marie Kongsved, after years of keeping his personal life private.
Speculation arose when the Lord of the Rings star casually referred to Kongsved as “my wife” during a podcast interview, and TMZ has now confirmed their marriage through a confidential Los Angeles County marriage licence.
Sources claim the couple, who share two children, wed in an intimate New Year’s Eve ceremony in Sweden with 80 guests.
44-year-old Wood, who played Frodo Baggins in the LOTR trilogy, has maintained a low profile regarding his family life, previously revealing the birth of his second child over a year later in an interview.
