A New Zealand law firm boss is facing misconduct charges after multiple female employees reported he repeatedly watched pornography in the office between 2018 and 2022, often leaving explicit content visible on his screen despite warnings that staff could see it.
Workers described feeling unsafe, intimidated, and anxious under his verbally aggressive behaviour, with several traumatised and later seeking counselling.
Although he admitted his conduct was “egregious” and claimed it stemmed from a pornography addiction, he continued the behaviour even after promising to seek help and install computer blocks.
The Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal heard submissions seeking censure, suspension, and victim compensation, with a written penalty decision to follow.
